WEIRD NOTES
The freezer potentially could've had the dead animals being preserved turned into undead. Jumpscare kinda deal. The skeletons just pop on out.
The freezer incident happened both times, which I think is super fucking funny.
I think all the new interior maps are better, only thing that isn't better is town map.
The underground tunnel wasn't drawn for the new maps since its a straight line with 1 small bump in it. I can just say that out loud.
The ladder could have been used to get up to the skylight.
If went up there MAJOR MAGIC. Big necromancy box, when closed nothing immediately happens.
Go down and all the drunk people are skeleton piles on the ground (always were skeletons, box hid the fact)
No one had detect magic so they didn't know.
Mayor, if questioned about this, skips town.
They're at least a level 7 magus that i said is allowed to have necromancy magic despite it not being on their list.
The bear's arm crossbow was +1, but the bear wasn't proficient so it had -4 to hit, for a total of +6 (3 bab, 5 dex, 1 enhancement, 1 small)
I also removed its ability to grab on hit, since FUCK that shit.
I apparently rolled its hp instead of using average as is the normal. It had 24 instead of average 22.5.
After fight, post game the party goes back to bear and cuts off arm so they can keep the crossbow. They need loot somehow.
This is a scaling magic item, I had plans if this ever continues or turned into me running a sequel.
The bear also had a magic amulet, which was how it made people think it wasn't a bear.
Might also scale or would just be useless for people who aren't bears.
Guaranteed powers include making people think you aren't a bear and eating corpses to gain their memories (probably a time limit on it, also needs a LOT of eating)
Bear knew about town and bread because it ate the hunter's memories.
The thing was balanced for 3 level 2 characters with the bear being dumb as part of that.
I forgot to lower that for it being only 1 level 1 characters.
APL 1/2 vs a CR 3.5 encounter. How did they live.
I wasn't scared for most of it otherwise I'd fudge the hp lower or something, but I rolled shit and they rolled well for the most part.
They instant hit level 2 for sure, quest xp plus encounter being around 1000, plus milestone levels. (milestone cool, but also I think its based to loosely track xp and level up at a milestone somewhere close to actual xp)
Means nothing because 1 shot but the thought counts.
Original town map had a doctor/barber which I think is funny as fuck, a remnant of it being designed for a 1v1.
My brother thinks doctor/barber is funny as a concept, only slightly fucked up because its real.
Morshu isn't there on the original map, which is just because I didn't have anyone there to talk me into putting him there.
He only trades for rubies, not gold.
1 rubie is 2 gold. Its spelled "rubie" for singular, idk what a ruby is.
May edit later to add more things if I remember more details I'd like to throw in.
